Treelogic Joins the CIRTEXCAM Consortium to Develop Textile Waste Sorting Systems Using Artificial Intelligence

CIRTEXCAM

Treelogic leads the development of computer vision and multispectral classification models in a public-private R&D&I project funded by the Community of Madrid and co-financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funds.

3 April 2026.- Treelogic is taking part this year in the launch of CIRTEXCAM, a public-private R&D initiative aimed at advancing circularity in the textile sector through advanced waste sorting, eco-design, and digital traceability technologies. The project is led by FECSA (Fábrica Española de Confecciones, S.A.) and brings together eight organisations from the textile, technology, and environmental sectors.

The consortium comprises Treelogic, FECSA as the lead organisation, Valoriza, Global Factor, EvoEnzyme, UDIT, ASECOM, and the technology partners TECNALIA, AITEX, and Hilaturas Arnau. The project is funded under Order 6234/2025 of the Regional Ministry of Education, Science and Universities of the Community of Madrid, as part of the grants for public-private cooperation projects in R&D with a driving effect in consortium, and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Treelogic is participating in CIRTEXCAM as an expert in artificial intelligence and computer vision, leading the development and validation of advanced multispectral classification systems for post-consumer textile waste. Its work focuses on the research and creation of multimodal classification models — combining RGB and infrared imaging — to identify the composition of textile garments and optimise their automated separation and recycling. This characterisation capability is one of the project’s technological pillars, as it provides accurate data to the rest of the circular value chain: from recycling processes to the development of new materials and their traceability.

CIRTEXCAM addresses one of the textile sector’s most urgent challenges: the sustainable management of post-consumer waste in an increasingly demanding European regulatory framework. For Treelogic, the project strengthens its ability to apply AI to complex industrial challenges and reinforces its positioning in R&D initiatives with sector-wide impact, in line with its growth strategy in applied research projects at both national and European level.

CIRTEXCAM strengthens Treelogic’s positioning in R&D&I projects with real industrial impact and consolidates its ability to apply artificial intelligence to complex sustainability challenges. Participation in this consortium is aligned with the company’s strategy to grow in applied research initiatives, both nationally and across Europe, contributing its own technology to projects with high sector value.
